Creating More Productive CEO-Board Relationships

It’s no secret that a constructive relationship between a CEO and the board of directors is essential for effective board governance. Nonetheless, many organizations struggle with establishing such a relationship. Everyone knows of boards where conflict is avoided, simmers and cripples progress, or erupts into outright hostility that spreads dysfunction throughout the organization. It is often newer or less sophisticated boards that suffer from these issues.
